If you run multiple fundraising Components in the same Campaign, such as a Raffle plus Storefront merchandise, you’ll be charged a different Platform Fee for each activity. For example, you’ll be charged a 6.9% Platform Fee on Raffle entry purchases and a 2.9% Platform Fee on Storefront merchandise sales.
No. RallyUp has no contracts, subscriptions, up-front fees, setup fees, consulting fees, or minimum fees.
Payment processors (e.g., Stripe or PayPal) accept a variety of payment types for donor contributions, including credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. Payment processors charge a processing fee on each transaction, from 1.9% to 2.9%, plus $0.30per transaction. This will vary based on your arrangement with the payment processor. 501(c) organizations can apply to the payment processor to receive a nonprofit discount.
All transactions incur payment processing fees, regardless of pricing plan. With Flex pricing, you can pass these fees to donors if you choose.
RallyUp does not receive any portion of the payment processing fees, and we do not add any charges for payment processing. You pay exactly what the processor charges, and nothing more.
Your pricing plan is locked in once you go live. However, you can change your pricing plan anytime before you go live, and use different pricing plans for different Campaigns.
Both Free and Flex give you access to RallyUp’s Core Fundraising Components: Raffles, Online Auctions, Sweepstakes, Ticketing & Registration, Crowdfunding, Peer-to-Peer, A-Thons, Storefront, and Livestreaming.
Free pricing allows you to use RallyUp’s powerful platform without paying a Platform Fee. Donors are asked to leave an optional tip at checkout, which goes to RallyUp to cover operation costs. You’ll never be charged a Platform Fee even if no donors tip. Raffles and Sweepstakes offer discounted bonus entries, which are treated as tips.
Flex pricing adds in-person event features like Event Balances and Automated Checkout. This allows for the tracking of individual “tabs” (like a bar tab). As guests make donations and purchases at an in-person event, their contributions are added to their Event Balance. Common examples of scenarios where this is useful are Galas and Golf Tournaments. Flex also adds Live Auctions, Silent Auctions, Fund-a-Needs, Paddle Raise+, and Live Display.
With Flex pricing, donors are not asked to tip. RallyUp deducts a Platform Fee from the funds raised to cover the costs of operating our platform. The fee starts at 2.9% depending on the Component.
If you wish to offset the fee, you can ask donors to cover the fee at checkout (optionally or required). Alternatively, you can add a convenience fee to each transaction, which can be any amount or percentage you choose.
No matter which pricing plan you choose, you’ll never pay up front or out of pocket.
At checkout, donors see a suggested tip amount they can accept, decrease, or remove. Tips go to RallyUp to support the platform. For Raffles and Sweepstakes, tips earn donors bonus entries. Your organization receives 100% of the donation regardless of whether donors tip.
RallyUp’s Free pricing requires Donor Tipping, so donors will be asked to optionally leave a tip.
Our Flex Pricing plan lets you fundraise with No Tipping! With the Flex plan, you pay a Platform Fee and donors are not asked to tip. If you want, you can ask or require donors to cover platform fees at checkout, or add a convenience fee of your choosing to each transaction.
Running multiple Components (e.g., Raffle and Auction) in a single fundraiser is a great way to increase donations! With Flex pricing, RallyUp automatically applies the appropriate fee to each donation/item without requiring separate checkout for different items.
For example, if somebody buys Raffle entries and wins an Auction item, then the Raffle entries will incur a 6.9% fee while a 4.9% fee will be applied to the winning Auction bid.
You don’t need to do anything. RallyUp manages the details and gives you a ledger of the fees applied to each part of each checkout.
All the Core Fundraising Components work great online and in person. The price is the same for online and in-person Campaigns. You can choose Free or Flex pricing for each Campaign you run.
If you are holding a gala Gala or in-person fundraising event, you may want to leverage RallyUp’s Advanced Fundraising Components: Live Auctions, Silent Auctions, Fund-a-Need, Paddle Raise+, Event Balances, Automated Checkout, and Live Display.
The Advanced Fundraising Components are only available on Campaigns using Flex pricing. However, we encourage those running larger in-person events to contact us to inquire about custom pricing (our Enterprise pricing).
RallyUp designs every fundraising Component to function both in-person and online as much as possible. So the pricing plan you choose should be based on the types of fundraising Components you’re planning to run.
Also, don’t worry, there’s no lock-in. You can change your pricing plan any time before you launch your fundraiser. If you’d like help planning a great fundraiser, please contact us. That’s always free, and we’ll listen to your needs and help you build a winning strategy.
Yes! You can start building your Campaign with any pricing option, including Free, and explore all features. You can also test drive your Campaign as many times as you like before going live, to ensure everything works exactly how you want. RallyUp is the only solution offering a full test drive that lets you enter transactions so you can test the process and donor experience completely – all without going live.
You can change your pricing plan for each Campaign any time before you launch. You only lock in your pricing choice when you launch and start accepting donations.
Chat with us, email us, or let’s talk on the phone/Zoom! We’d love to help you decide.
You can sign up for a RallyUp account immediately. We have no sales process. Just sign up online – no contracts, no commitment, and no subscription or sign-up fees.
You’ll need to connect a Stripe or PayPal account to receive funds, then you can create a fundraiser right away. Our Instant Fundraising Templates make creating your fundraiser a snap. You can go from signing up to launching your fundraiser in as little as 15 or 20 minutes.
Of course, you may want to take more time to plan your fundraiser. You also may want to deck it out with custom branding, compelling stories, and captivating pictures and videos.
Some fundraisers require extra preparation. For example, a prize Raffle requires a prize (or prizes), an Auction requires items to bid on, and so forth.
